Dempsi Text Alerts

Dempsi is a people's choice voting platform operated by Bombyhead, a Wyoming corporation. Dempsi alerts are optional text messages about a contestant you choose to follow. Contests on Bombyhead's pageant platform, bombyhead.com, use the same Dempsi alerts.

What you receive

A text when the contestant you follow changes rank.
A text when they are close to passing the contestant ahead of them.
Top-5 leaderboard updates, if you sign up for a contest's leaderboard.
Voting reminders, for example on the final day of voting.
A notice when a contestant you supported enters a new contest.

Every message names the sender ("Dempsi alerts") and ends with "Reply STOP to end." Message frequency varies with contest activity. Message and data rates may apply.

How you opt in

Texts start only after you agree. There are two ways.

1. Reply Y to our one consent request. When you vote on a contest's voting page you may give a mobile number, at checkout or in the optional text-alert field. The voting form shows this notice:

Text alerts (optional): we will send one text asking if you want updates about this contestant. Reply Y to agree to recurring automated texts from Dempsi alerts about their ranking and voting reminders. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. Not required to vote. Details · Terms · Privacy

We then send one text:

Thanks for voting for Angela Allen in 2027 Fabulous Face. Reply Y for texts when their ranking changes and voting reminders. Msg freq varies. Msg&data rates may apply. HELP for help. Dempsi alerts. Reply STOP to end.

If you do not reply Y, we send nothing more. Contestants whose number was given to a contest director receive the same single request and are texted only if they reply Y.

2. Sign up for a contest's leaderboard. A voting page can offer top-5 leaderboard texts. You enter your first name and mobile number and tick a box that is not ticked for you:

☐ Yes, text me top-5 leaderboard updates for this contest. I agree to receive recurring automated texts from Dempsi alerts. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. Not required to vote. Terms · Privacy

You never have to agree to texts to vote.

How long your consent lasts

Your consent covers the contestants you follow until you reply STOP. Supporters often follow a contestant from one contest to the next, so you do not need to reply Y again for each contest.

Stop or get help

Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts from us. You will get one confirmation and nothing more.
